Swan Hellenic 's new high-end boutique expedition ships will explore almost every coastline from pole to pole, with unique cruises stopping at locations unvisited by others.

Swan Hellenic has just released details of its 2024 cruises, which aim to explore the Arctic, Antarctic and the Rest of the World in depth – from Brazil to the Bijagós Archipelago, from Norway to Nova Scotia, from Argentina to Africa, and from Madagascar to the Mediterranean.
Offering exclusive worldwide exploration opportunities aboard the SH Vega, and its slightly larger sister ship SH Diana, the choice ranges from 8-day explorations to epic 21-night voyages, accompanied by experienced and expert guides, renowned scientists and explorers.
The SH Vega will explore the Antarctic Peninsula from Ushuaia until early March 2024, when it will head west on a 21-day semi-circumnavigation cruise of the South Atlantic, visiting Gough Island - the seabird capital of the South Atlantic - and Tristan da Cunha on its way to Cape Town, South Africa.
This epic voyage will be followed by exceptional cultural expedition cruises along the west coast of Africa and as far as Lisbon, Portugal, before skirting the Atlantic coast to Honfleur, France. Celtic discovery voyages through Cornwall, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland will take the SH Vega to Iceland, Norway, and the Arctic during its summer season.

Finally, in September, it will cross from Greenland to Halifax (Canada) and head south to spend October and November in the depths of the Caribbean and Brazil until the end of November 2024.
The larger SH Diana, equipped with auxiliary vessels and expedition zodiacs, will be based in Antarctica until the end of February 2024, when it will turn north through the Chilean fjords and travel along the entire west coast of South and Central America to La Paz (Mexico).
Returning south, he will take the Panama Canal to discover the real Cuba and then head up the east coast of the United States to Halifax, Canada. From there, he will cross to Greenland at the end of May for his Arctic season.
On July 20, it will set sail from Tromsø, Norway, bound for the fjords, Scotland, and the Netherlands. It will then travel down the Atlantic coast and into the Mediterranean to explore in depth during the summer the cradles of the culture that inspired the creation of the Swan Hellenic in the 1950s. In early October, it will cross the Suez Canal and the Red Sea to explore the Seychelles, Madagascar, and South Africa until the end of November. Finally, it will depart from Cape Town for a semi-circumnavigation to the Antarctic Peninsula and Ushuaia, where it will arrive in early December to begin its next Antarctic season.
Among the trips, highlights include “Following in Shackleton’s Footsteps” on the SH Diana, which revives historical events in Antarctica, and “Virgin Islands of West Africa” on the SH Vega, which explores the impressive Bijagós Archipelago, whose 88 islands are a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
Also worth highlighting is Unspoilt Wilds of Southwest Africa aboard the SH Vega, which includes expeditions to discover the extraordinary wildlife of Loango National Park in Gabon and Conkouati-Douli National Park in the Republic of Congo, neither of which are accessible to any other cruise line.
Almost all of Swan Hellenic's cultural expedition cruises follow non-repeated itineraries, so they can be linked together as desired to create tailor-made exploration trips.
Andrea Zito, CEO of Swan Hellenic, says: “We are truly delighted with the itineraries our experts have selected for 2024, enriched with exciting new destinations, including Cuba and the Bijagós Islands. We now offer an unparalleled selection of opportunities worldwide to see what others miss, with unique style and personalization.”.
