PONANT announces the appointment of Belinda Hindmarsh as Group Deputy CEO Global Business. Belinda Hindmarsh succeeds Hervé Bellaïche, Group Deputy CEO Sales, Marketing and Communications, who, after 10 years with the company and in agreement with PONANT CEO Hervé Gastinel, has decided to leave to pursue new professional opportunities.
Belinda Hindmarsh's appointment will be effective from June 1, 2023. A native of New Zealand, Hindmarsh will lead a large team with broad responsibilities. She will be responsible for strategy and product development, as well as overall business development, marketing, and communications. A travel expert with over 20 years of experience in the industry, Hindmarsh has held senior positions at Aer Lingus, Expedia, and most recently, CWT (formerly Carlson Wagonlit Travel).
Since joining in February 2013, Hervé Bellaïche has played a key role in PONANT's expansion. Over the past ten years, he has positioned PONANT as a benchmark in the luxury and expedition travel sector. Hervé Bellaïche successfully implemented a growth strategy that enabled a brand redesign, an upgrade in product range, and international expansion, particularly in the United States. He spearheaded the opening of new offices, several acquisitions, and the establishment of significant strategic partnerships. Hervé and his teams were also invaluable in managing the health crisis, maintaining trust and relationships with clients, travel agencies, and key partners.
