Cruise Saudi welcomed the MS Amadea to Saudi waters for the first time. More than 400 international passengers learned about Saudi Arabia's history, natural wonders, and warm, welcoming hospitality.
The MS Amadea is operated by the German-based travel agency Phoenix Reisen. The stop in Jeddah is part of a 150-day worldwide itinerary, and the ship concludes its voyage in Nice on May 22, 2023.
During its inaugural stop in Jeddah, a plaque and key exchange ceremony was held with the Cruise Saudi team and the captain of the MS Amadea. After Jeddah, the ship continued its journey through the Red Sea to Hurghada, Egypt, and then on to Nice to complete its voyage.
Serafín Blázquez, Director of Port Operations, Terminals and Assets at Cruise Saudi, commented on the MS Amadea's visit: “Relationships with global cruise lines, travel agencies and tour operators are hugely important to our growth strategy for Saudi Arabia as a tourist destination, and we are delighted to have partnered with the MS Amadea to welcome new travelers to experience all that Saudi Arabia has to offer.”
The captain of the MS Amadea, Martin Rittig, stated: “It has been a pleasure to visit Saudi Arabia for the first time. We have received excellent feedback from our passengers and have been particularly impressed by the enthusiasm shown by all parties.”
