The Port Authority of Ceuta (APC) reports the arrival this Monday, May 8th, of the Holland America Lines cruise ship, Nieuw Statendam. It arrived early this morning and is docked at the eastern end of the Muelle España (Spain Wharf), from where it will depart at 4:00 PM for Lisbon.

The cruise ship, carrying 3,100 people including tourists and crew, breaks records as the largest tourist ship to dock in the Port of Ceuta, reaching 300 meters in length and carrying the most passengers to date.
This cruise ship already made its first stop in the city last April 2022, so next Monday's visit confirms the interest that Holland America Lines has in the Ceuta destination and its port.
Handled by Salama, the 'Nieuw Statendam' is the 13th cruise ship to call at Ceuta so far in 2023. Its arrival confirms the Port of Ceuta's positive forecasts to close the year with around twenty calls, as anticipated by its Commercial and Marketing Department. Their work, in collaboration with Tourist Services, and their presence at important national and international industry forums, is bearing fruit, not only in terms of the cruises expected this year, but also in the outlook for 2024 and 2025, which will surpass the number of calls in 2023.
Ceuta Tourist Services has a cruise passenger information stand located at the dock, where they provide information and suggestions on places to visit, both on foot and on excursions arranged with the Tourism Office to the city's most emblematic sites. The Ceuta Chamber of Commerce and the Confederation of Business Owners also have a space at Muelle España (Spain Dock) to promote offers that Ceuta businesses have prepared specifically for cruise passengers.
The 'Nieuw Stantedam', sister ship of the 'Koningsdam', is the company's second ship of the Pinnacle class, with a design inspired by the curves of musical instruments.
