MSC Cruises hosted a special event aboard MSC Bellissima in Yokohama, Japan, to mark the start of the 2023 summer season and celebrate the company's 15th anniversary in the country. This event coincided with the launch of sales for MSC Cruises' first winter season in Japan. With year-round departures from the country, MSC Cruises offers the largest passenger capacity in the region, positioning it to become the leading cruise line in Japan.
MSC Bellissima 's new winter program will begin in November 2023 with 11, 9, and 6-night cruises departing from Yokohama. From January to March 2024, MSC Bellissima will be based in Naha/Okinawa, offering passengers from around the world the opportunity to experience Japan's stunning scenery and beaches, rich cultural heritage, ancient traditions, and modern attractions across multiple destinations—all without the hassle of packing and unpacking.
The 23/24 winter season will see MSC Bellissima sailing to Japan and Keelung, Taiwan (China), with four- to five-night cruises and varied itineraries including destinations such as:
- Okinawa (Japan) – Japan's fifth largest island is known for its pleasant tropical climate, extensive beaches and stunning coral reefs, as well as its historical sites.
- Ishigaki (Japan) - Another stunning beach destination with amazing spots for snorkeling, scuba diving and surfing; passengers can go in search of the unique blue coral of the Shiraho Reef, in Iriomote-Ishigaki National Park.
- Keelung, Taiwan (China) – The city of Keelung is surrounded by inspiring mountains and boasts a lively waterfront promenade, where street food stalls at the Miaokou Night Market offer traditional snacks and seafood. Several forts surround the area and offer stunning sea views.
- Miyako Island (Japan) – Miyako Island is renowned for its white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Passengers can savor local cuisine, including sweet mangoes, or venture out in search of adventure in the numerous underwater caves.
This summer, MSC Bellissima will be sailing eight- to nine-night cruises from Yokohama and Tokyo, offering unique opportunities to discover the beauty of the region.
