American Cruise Lines will feature The Great United States, the longest American river cruise ever, which will travel through twenty states and across four different time zones. It will depart on August 14, 2024.
The Great United States pays tribute to the history of the United States, in anticipation of the country's 250th anniversary, which will be at a later date. It will travel along four major American rivers before reaching New York City, its final destination.
The highlights of the cruise through the Great United States are:
- Columbia and Snake River Cruise: Sailing from Portland (Oregon) to Clarkston (Washington) aboard the American Jazz;
National Parks Package: A private guided tour of three National Parks: Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton; - Complete Mississippi River Cruise: Sailing from Jackson, WY to New Orleans, LA aboard the American Symphony;
- Cruise the coast and ports of Maine aboard the American Independence: Sailing from Portland, ME to Boston, MA, the voyage explores the region's maritime history;
- Seaports: The American Independence will sail through seaports from Boston, MA, to New York City, exploring historic cities and coastal towns;
- Hudson River Fall Foliage: The American Independence will sail down the Hudson River from the tip of Manhattan, visiting Sleepy Hollow, West Point and Hyde Park, among other places.
