Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that the musical production “Beetlejuice” will be the star attraction aboard its newest ship, the Norwegian Viva, along with all the onboard entertainment offerings that will begin in August 2023.
This marks the first time the Tony Award-nominated musical has been performed at sea. The musical's paranormal scenes will be enhanced by the Viva Theatre & Club's three-story, multifunctional space.

The " Beetlejuice " production will delight guests as performers dance and sing to the rhythm of show classics, while also immersing them in the pop culture classic.
The Norwegian Viva will also offer an interactive live gaming experience with the first-ever “Press Your Luck LIVE.” The experience invites the audience to become part of the classic entertainment and offers the chance to win prizes on board.
The Viva Theatre & Club features special effects, a multi-story video wall, a hanging chandelier, and a VIP area.
The Norwegian Viva will also feature guest classics on board, including the comedy club “Improv @ Sea”; “Syd Norman’s Pour House”, with tributes to Fleetwood Mac, The Rolling Stones and other legendary artists of the Classic Rock genre; and much more.
The Norwegian Viva is the second of six ships in the company’s Prima Class, the brand’s first new class of ships in nearly 10 years. Prima Class offerings are designed to provide the ultimate guest experience with premium dining, spacious design, and onboard activities, including the Viva Speedway, the three-level onboard racetrack. With nine dining options, guests can sample a wide variety of cuisines from around the world at Indulge Food Hall, the food market featuring 11 restaurants, or enjoy exquisite menus at Hudson’s, the complimentary main dining room with 270-degree ocean views. The Norwegian Viva also features offshore waterslides, The Drop and Rush, and the sustainable cocktail bar, Metropolitan Bar. With its debut in August 2023, the Norwegian Viva will sail a selection of trips around the Greek islands and the Mediterranean until November, before arriving in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in December for a season of Caribbean itineraries.
