Celestyal announces the arrival of the Celestyal Journey. Following an extensive refurbishment and maintenance overhaul, Celestyal’s newest ship will set sail on September 2, 2023, taking over the program of the Celestyal Crystal, initially on its seven-night “Idyllic Aegean” itinerary. The ship’s name symbolizes exploration, discovery, and progress. The Journey embodies a spirit of ambition and adventure and a desire to take its guests further afield and bring them closer to the destinations it visits.
The Celestyal Journey is characterized by its large number of premium cabins, as well as their spaciousness. The mid-sized ship, with a capacity for 1,260 passengers, offers 630 cabins, 149 of which have balconies. Of the 149 balcony cabins, 120 are Junior Suites, 28 are Grand Suites, and one is the spacious Penthouse Concept Suite. Furthermore, the ship boasts 80 percent outside cabins, as well as a high space-to-passenger ratio.
The Celestyal Journey also offers guests a wide range of dining options, with themed and specialty restaurants serving Mediterranean, European, and Asian cuisine. In addition, the Celestyal Journey will feature a culinary demonstration area and an exclusive Chef's Table, ideal for celebrating special occasions with friends or for private group functions. Eight bars and lounges complete the food and beverage offerings, each with its own distinctive character, providing the perfect setting to enjoy Celestyal's signature cocktails.
The Celestyal Journey features numerous open deck areas, creating a greater sense of light and space. Expansive sun decks with two pools and two whirlpools offer spectacular views and a connection to the sea, while a secluded and tranquil outdoor space, the Beach Club, will be created exclusively for the use of all Grand Suite and Junior Suite guests. Guests booking Grand Suites will also have access to the Celestyal Concierge Service, which includes a priority check-in desk, expedited boarding, and express luggage delivery service with unpacking assistance. A Celestyal Cruises Concierge will be available in the Poseidon Lounge, exclusively for Grand Suite guests to assist with personalized service requests.
There is also a large and comprehensive spa, gym and wellness area overlooking the ocean and two fully equipped conference rooms, as well as a multipurpose amphitheater with a cinema, making the Celestyal Journey perfect for meetings and incentives.

Following the inaugural Idyllic Aegean sailings, which begin on September 2, the Celestyal Journey continues in October with the unique "Steps of Paul" itinerary, followed by the award-winning seven-night "Three Continents" itinerary, visiting Greece, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, and Turkey. This will be followed by two exclusive holiday voyages: the special 11-night Christmas voyage, with stops in Thessaloniki, Izmir, Crete, Antalya, and Limassol, two days in Alexandria, and an overnight stay in Haifa (Israel) to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in the Holy Land. This can be combined with the eight-night New Year's voyage visiting Heraklion, Rhodes, and Kusadasi, with an overnight stay in Istanbul before a stop in Volos.
