AmaWaterways, the first major river cruise line to explore Colombia's magnificent Magdalena River, today announced details of two newly designed ships debuting in 2024, the AmaMagdalena and the AmaMelodia.
“We are thrilled to add two beautiful ships to our growing fleet of 26 river cruise ships and share details about the new cruise itineraries between Cartagena and Barranquilla along the Magdalena River,” said Rudi Schreiner, co-founder and president of AmaWaterways.

The AmaMagdalena will set sail on March 30, 2024, and the AmaMelodia will begin sailing on June 19, 2024. The AmaMagdalena welcomes 60 guests, while the AmaMelodia welcomes 64 guests.
Two Immersive Itineraries – Magic of Colombia and Wanders of Colombia.
Starting in Spring 2024, guests can choose between two seven-night itineraries: Magic of Colombia and Wanders of Colombia. Sailing between Cartagena and Barranquilla, both itineraries offer unforgettable experiences and excursions.
During their stay in Colombia, travelers have the opportunity to make the most of their time and extend their trip with AmaWaterways' optional pre-cruise land packages in Medellín and Cartagena, and the post-cruise land package in Panama City, Panama.

Travelers seeking a post-cruise land package can visit Panama to discover the vibrant atmosphere of the Amador Causeway, the historic buildings of Panama Viejo, and the fascinating Panama Canal. Additionally, travelers can explore the rainforest of Chagres National Park.
