Klaus Bondam is the new Director of Cruise Baltic and Cruise Copenhagen, effective March 15, 2023.
Bondam has several years of experience in management, policy, and sustainability, mobility, and intercultural relations. Bringing new skills and expertise in international politics, sustainability, and culture to both companies, she will lead Cruise Baltic and Cruise Copenhagen.
As Director of Cruise Baltic and Cruise Copenhagen, Klaus Bondam will be responsible, among other things, for ensuring sustainable growth and securing the market position of Denmark and the entire Baltic Sea region on an international scale.
“I am very much looking forward to joining Cruise Baltic and Cruise Copenhagen. Both companies are ambitious in their work towards a more sustainable cruise industry and a unified Baltic region. We have much to show the world, and I will be proud to promote our region internationally and further strengthen cooperation with all partners,” says Klaus Bondam.
Bondam recently served as Director General of the Danish Cycling Federation, where he focused on policy advocacy, European cooperation, and network development. Prior to this, he pursued a political career, first in Denmark as Mayor for Technology and Environment in the City of
Copenhagen. He then continued his international career as Head of Department at the Danish Cultural Institute in Brussels, responsible for the Benelux countries. Klaus Bondam succeeds Claus Bødker, who left his post in August 2022 after more than eight years.
