Swan Hellenic and its Irish advisors have identified a legal mechanism that allows it to take ownership of the SHMinerva by acquiring the subsidiary GTLK, which is currently the registered owner of the vessel.
The necessary application to the Central Bank of Ireland was finalized a few weeks ago and has already been submitted. Approval of the transaction is expected to take between two and three weeks.
Pending the issuance of this license by the Central Bank of Ireland, Swan Hellenic has decided to postpone the reactivation of the SH Minerva. The 31-night Antarctic cruise, scheduled to depart on February 7, has unfortunately been cancelled.
