Norwegian Cruise Line is offering itineraries this season that include more time in port and fewer days at sea, giving guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the cultures and destinations visited. Furthermore, these itineraries can be booked with a promotion offering up to 50% off their cruises.
The company offers a variety of itineraries aboard its 19 ships, with stops in nearly 400 destinations around the world, including tropical locations in the Caribbean, destinations with a rich cultural heritage in Europe, idyllic landscapes in dreamlike regions of Alaska, and even mythical destinations such as the great pyramids of Egypt, among others.
LONG LIVE NORWEGIAN
In addition to its diverse itineraries, Norwegian Cruise Line will celebrate the debut of the Norwegian Viva in 2023, its second Prima-class ship, which will enter service in August. This new vessel boasts a luxurious design and structure, accommodating up to 3,100 guests at double occupancy, and will offer a larger onboard staff and the most spacious accommodations among its premium-class cruise ships.
The Norwegian Viva, built by the shipbuilder Fincantieri in Marghera, Italy, boasts the widest variety of suite categories available at sea. It will also feature an enhanced Haven, the innovative ship-within-a-ship concept, accessible exclusively with a special card.
Among the recreational activities, the Norwegian Viva will offer its guests exclusive and unique experiences, such as dry-land freefall waterslides and the largest three-level go-kart track at sea. All ships in this new Prima class will also feature high-end culinary experiences, with revamped dining options and up to nine new food and beverage concepts, including the first sustainable wine and cocktail bar.
Following a series of inaugural cruises, beginning in June 2023, the Norwegian Viva will set sail in the Mediterranean, offering 8-, 9-, and 10-day voyages from Lisbon, Portugal; Venice (Trieste) and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy; and Athens (Piraeus), Greece. These cruises will give guests the opportunity to explore Mediterranean destinations in Spain, Italy, and Greece. The voyages will include stops at incredible ports such as Santorini and Mykonos, Greece; 15-hour stays in Jerusalem, Israel; and stops in Alexandria and Port Said, Egypt, allowing passengers to visit the pyramids, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
During the winter of 2023/2024, the Norwegian Viva will be based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. From there, it will sail seven- and nine-day Caribbean cruises, visiting destinations in the British Virgin Islands, St. Maarten, Barbados, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, among others.
NORWEGIAN PRIMA
The Norwegian Prima, meanwhile, will offer 10- to 12-day Caribbean cruises from November 2024 through March 2025, with round-trip departures from New York, visiting Puerto Plata (Dominican Republic), San Juan (Puerto Rico), Basseterre (Saint Kitts), Saint Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands), Tortola (British Virgin Islands) and the Royal Naval Dockyard (Bermuda).
And then, between May and September 2025, it will make a series of 10- and 11-day open-cruise voyages from London (Southampton), England, and Reykjavik, Iceland, offering guests dream itineraries with stops in Geiranger, Norway, home of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Geirangerfjord; Alesund, Flåm and Bergen (Norway); Brussels/Bruges (Zeebrugge), Belgium; Akureyri, Isafjordur, Iceland and Amsterdam.
NORWEGIAN BREAKAWAY
From April through October 2025, the Norwegian Breakaway will offer nine- and ten-day round-trip Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona, with an overnight stop in Florence/Pisa (Livorno, Italy); and visits to Ibiza, Spain; Cagliari, Naples and Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy; or Cannes, France.
NORWEGIAN ESCAPE
The Norwegian Escape will sail seven- and 14-day Caribbean cruises from December 2024 through March 2025, departing from Galveston, Texas. The ship will offer seven-day Western Caribbean itineraries with stops in Costa Maya and Cozumel (Mexico), Roatán (Honduras), and Harvest Caye, NCL's resort in southern Belize. The 14-day Eastern Caribbean voyages will also include visits to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Castries, St. Lucia; George Town, Grand Cayman; Cozumel, Mexico; Great Stirrup Cay, NCL's private island in the Bahamas; and more.
NORWEGIAN JOY
Between late April and October 2025, the Norwegian Joy will return to offering nine- and ten-day round-trip cruises from Seattle to Alaska. Itineraries will include visits to Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and Hubbard Glacier, North America’s largest tidewater glacier. Select cruises will also call at Icy Strait Point and Ketchikan, Alaska, where Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd. is making significant investments to enhance the guest experience and support local communities.
NORWEGIAN ENCORE
The Norwegian Encore will travel the 82 kilometers of the Panama Canal during its exclusive 21-day voyage that will begin on October 13, 2024 from Seattle and sail along the west coast to San Francisco and Los Angeles; Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, Mexico; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; Panama City, Panama; Cartagena, Colombia; George Town, Grand Cayman and will end its voyage in Miami.
