Navantia's Ship Repair Unit has a positive outlook for 2023, with dry dock bookings for 12 cruise ships at the Cádiz shipyard. Of these 12 bookings, the RCCL (Royal Caribbean Cruise Line) ships * Independent of the Seas* and *Explorer of the Seas*and will arrive at the Cádiz shipyard during January and February. *Carnival Pride* and *Carnival Freedom*, as well as the Costa Venezia, are also confirmed for the year. Additionally, there are up to 10 dry dock bookings for other conventional civilian vessels. As for the San Fernando repair shipyard, there are already plans for the repair of 10 ships.

Navantia's Bay of Cadiz Repair Unit increased its planned revenue targets last year, working on 73 ships: 40 at the Cadiz shipyard, 25 at the San Fernando shipyard and 8 at the Puerto Real shipyard, according to the Diario de Cadiz.
These figures have resulted in the employment of more than 800 workers from the auxiliary company, including the maintenance work for the Spanish Navy in Rota, Navantia pointed out in a statement.
On average, around 400 workers have been needed in Cádiz, 120 in San Fernando and 250 in Puerto Real), which has meant more than 2,000,000 million hours of work during the year.
