The Carnival Celebration features an expanded youth program that includes new activities for children, teens, and families, as well as an updated version of Carnival's popular Dr. Seuss Bookville. Many of the new offerings will be rolled out across the fleet in spring 2023.
“The updates we’re making to our youth programming ensure that our young cruisers have even more to be excited about when they come aboard,” said Melissa Mahaffey, director of youth experience at Carnival Cruise Line.
The Carnival Celebration debuted its most comprehensive offering to date for Carnival's youngest guests, children under two, with a new Turtles program. The program also offers a designated drop-off time at Camp Ocean and overnight babysitting service.
The Nautical Explorer program offers children at Ocean Camp the opportunity to participate in exciting maritime-themed activities to acquire nautical knowledge and earn their sailor's book.
Dr. Seuss Bookville is already one of the most popular activities for Carnival's younger cruisers, and now it's getting even more unique and interactive as iconic characters from the world of Dr. Seuss come to life. In addition to the Carnival Celebration, Dr. Seuss Bookville is available on the Mardi Gras, Carnival Freedom, Carnival Horizon, Carnival Panorama, and Carnival Vista.
Carnival Celebration features a cultural program inspired by Japan’s Cherry Blossom Festival, celebrating the beauty of life and new beginnings.
In Circle C, younger teens (ages 12-14) will participate in fun activities such as anime drawing classes and pop culture games. Teens aged 15-17 will enjoy an authentic tea ceremony, Japanese crafts, and games designed to foster new friendships in Club O2. Similar teen programs will be offered across the fleet starting in Spring 2023.
Youth activities debuting on Carnival Celebration also include a space program for children in partnership with the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, offering onboard activities inspired by NASA science. The innovative new flagship also features a roller coaster, a suspended ropes course, and a huge water park with three slides and a new interactive family show.
