MSC Cruises will once again have a ship next summer that will make departures from Tarragona and Valencia.

As part of MSC Cruises' strategic growth plan in Spanish ports, 2022 marked the first year the company offered a embarkation season in Tarragona. The Port of Tarragona thus joined the six other confirmed embarkation ports in Spain. Furthermore, 2022 was also the first year the company operated two ships departing from Valencia.
Thanks to 15 years of continuous operation in the Port of Valencia, and having achieved demand growth in line with our plans, next summer the company will repeat the operation with two weekly embarkations, this time with MSC Seashore and MSC Magnifica that will carry out 7-night itineraries through the Western Mediterranean.
The MSC Magnifica will sail 7-night itineraries from the Port of Tarragona through the Western Mediterranean, with stops in the ports of Toulon (France) and Genoa, Civitavecchia (for Rome), and Livorno (for Pisa and Florence) (Italy). To make embarkation in Valencia and Tarragona more convenient for residents of other nearby provinces, MSC Cruises offers a free bus service from various cities, including Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Girona, and Alicante.
Fernando Pacheco, Managing Director of MSC Cruises in Spain, commented: “This new announcement is the result of the positive results achieved this summer with the MSC Bellissima's embarkations in Tarragona and Valencia. We are delighted to be able to bring our ships closer to Spanish passengers by opening new ports and incorporating bus service. We are proud to announce new port calls that will also increase the economic impact and business of the cities where we operate, even generating jobs.”
The arrival of the more than 75,000 passengers expected will have a significant economic impact on the cities' economies during the ship's season, since according to CLIA data, the average expenditure per cruise passenger per day is €341.
Furthermore, it is worth highlighting that to promote the arrival of MSC Magnifica to the Spanish coast, MSC Cruises will include all-inclusive drinks – free of charge – in all bookings made during a limited period of time.
