MSC Cruises has reached a new milestone in the company's history, registering a record number of bookings in a single month in October 2022. Last month, nearly 400,000 passenger bookings were made for winter 2022/23 and summer 2023 itineraries across its global fleet.

The ships are showing above-average occupancy levels for both winter 2022/23 and summer 2023. The company recorded a large number of bookings for all its ships, including its latest flagship, MSC World Europa, for MSC Seascape, which will be inaugurated next December, and for MSC Euribia, which will enter service in the middle of next year.
Gianni Onorato, CEO of MSC Cruises, stated: “October was the strongest month for bookings in our company’s history. This reflects the continued significant investments made in our fleet, which is one of the most modern in the industry, with five new, state-of-the-art ships delivered in the last three years alone – more than any other company since 2017. Our passengers and travel agents also appreciate the continually enhanced experience we offer on our elegant and sophisticated ships, the global range of itinerary options available, and our commitment to environmental sustainability.”

“Consumers are also being drawn to our offering, thanks to the comprehensive all-inclusive vacation package that cruises represent at all times, but especially in the current climate. We are seeing strong demand with a broad medium- and long-term outlook, to the point that passengers and partner travel agencies are starting to finalize bookings now to avoid the frustration of not being able to find the perfect vacation option for themselves or their clients in a few months. These results reward the long-term vision that the MSC Group maintained for the business even during the pandemic, with investments not only in new ships but also in the quality of the passenger experience,” added Mr. Onorato.
