Following the relaxation of protocols by the Greek National Committee for Public Health for cruise passengers, Celestyal, the leading Greek-owned cruise operator with cruises around the Greek islands and the Eastern Mediterranean, has announced the immediate removal of the requirement for passengers to present valid vaccination or recovery certificates.
For added peace of mind, Celestyal will continue to require guests to present negative pre-cruise test results for the remainder of the 2022 season. These pre-embarkation tests will be either a rapid antigen test taken up to 48 hours before embarkation or a PCR test taken up to 72 hours before embarkation.
As previously announced, guests on all Celestyal trips departing from March 2, 2023 onwards will no longer be required to provide pre-boarding proof or a vaccination or recovery certificate, unless required by local regulations.
All Celestyal crew members will continue to be fully vaccinated, and the company encourages all its guests aged 12 and over to have the full vaccination schedule.
