Costa Cruises presents a new offering for winter 2022-23, perfect for enjoying a warm-weather holiday just a few hours' flight from Spain. From December 17, 2022, to March 11, 2023, the Costa Toscana, the flagship of the Italian company's fleet, will offer a one-week itinerary to the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
Cruises are available with the "flight+cruise" package, which provides the greatest convenience without having to worry about transfers to get to the ship or luggage once you arrive at the airport.
The new Costa Toscana offering allows for more time to visit the destinations included in the itinerary, thanks to two-day, one-night stops in Dubai (UAE), Muscat (Oman), and Abu Dhabi (UAE). On the New Year's cruise, the one-night stop will be solely in Dubai, for a truly memorable New Year's celebration.
The company offers a wide range of excursions with authentic experiences in the heart of each location, combining the modernity of futuristic architecture with the charm of the desert and ancient traditions. For example, in Dubai, a very special excursion is the helicopter tour, which offers breathtaking views of this incredible city. Another must-do experience is the jeep tour through the desert. In Muscat, guests can enjoy a cruise along the Omani coast aboard a dhow, a traditional wooden boat. In Abu Dhabi, guests can choose to visit one of the city's three most famous theme parks: Ferrari World, for sports enthusiasts who love speed and racing; Warner Bros. World, to meet famous cartoon characters; and Yas Waterworld, a huge water park with 43 attractions including slides, water features, and pools. Alternatively, you can relax on the exclusive beach of Al Maya Island, a true paradise just minutes from Abu Dhabi.
For golf enthusiasts , the "cruise and golf" package will soon be available, combining the best of golf with the best of cruising, and allowing guests to play golf at some of the most beautiful clubs in the UAE and Oman during the ship's port calls.
The onboard offerings of the Costa Toscana will also be tailored to each destination. Starting with the culinary experience, curated by Bruno Barbieri, Hélène Darroze, and Ángel León, these three world-renowned chefs will present the cruise destinations through their cuisine. Destination Dishes, available in the main restaurants, will interpret the traditions and flavors of the place to be visited the following day. Again, the three menus at the Archipelago restaurant, one by each chef, are designed to explore the sea being sailed through food. The onboard entertainment program will see the debut of a spectacular new show called “Essence,” inspired by the atmosphere of the Arabian Nights in the Persian Gulf.
The new itinerary also includes a significant update to health protocols, allowing all guests, even those who have not been vaccinated, to book a holiday aboard the Costa Toscana. Guests who have completed their vaccination (2 doses + booster; 1 dose J&J + booster; 2 doses + cure, certified by a QR code certificate) can board without any pre-boarding test, while guests who are unvaccinated or incompletely vaccinated will only need a negative test result from a test taken within 48 hours of boarding*. Children under 5 years old can board without vaccination or testing.
