The Kalundborg Cruise Port, operated by Global Ports Holding, welcomed the largest ship ever to call at Kalundborg, as well as its first call for the 2022 season with AIDA Cruises.
The AIDAnova arrived at the Kalundborg Cruise Port with 3,900 passengers and 1,200 crew members for its transit stop. Passengers who disembarked visited the city of Kalundborg via shuttle buses from the port and continued their excursions in Copenhagen.
With the assistance of Martin Damm, Mayor of the Municipality of Kalundborg and Mr. Bent Rasmusse, Director of the Port of Kalundborg, the GPH operations team welcomed AIDAnova's Captain Jens Janauscheck for the official plaque and key exchange ceremony.
Javier Rodríguez Sánchez, GPH's Regional Director for the Western Mediterranean and Asia, commented: “We are delighted to have welcomed the largest ship ever to call at Kalundborg today. With GPH's processes and procedures in place and strong cooperation with the Kalundborg Port Authority, the Kalundborg Tourism Authority, and all stakeholders, we had a successful transit operation today, welcoming almost 4,000 passengers. We look forward to the rest of the cruise season, during which we will welcome more calls from the AIDAnova, and hope for an even more successful season.”.
