MSC Cruises is repositioning the MSC Bellissima to the Western Mediterranean for the 2022 summer season, with Valencia and Barcelona as its home ports. The company, which has more than 400 scheduled port calls in Spanish ports as part of its strategic growth plan, continues its commitment to Valencia and Barcelona as embarkation ports.
Thus, with 6 shipping ports, Spain is positioned as the second market with the highest number of shipping ports for the company, only behind Italy.
Following the easing of restrictions by various governments after Easter, MSC Cruises has continued to see an increase in bookings. Notably, bookings in May were 144% higher than in the same period of 2019. Given these results, the company has reaffirmed its commitment to Spain by selecting the ports of Barcelona and Valencia as embarkation ports for the MSC Bellissima on its new 7-night Western Mediterranean itinerary, which will also include stops in Genoa, Livorno, and Naples, starting July 9th.
As part of the company's commitment to connecting cruise passengers from all over Spain with the embarkation ports, passengers can book this itinerary with flights and transfers included from 12 Spanish regional airports, as well as from Madrid. Furthermore, to celebrate the arrival of MSC Bellissima to Spanish shores, MSC Cruises will include all-inclusive drinks with all bookings made for a limited time.

The ports of Barcelona and Valencia will be the port of embarkation for MSC Bellissima on a total of 17 occasions each.
Following the voluntary shutdown of the global industry in March 2020 as a result of the pandemic, this month – with the addition of MSC Musica from Venice – MSC Cruises' full fleet of 19 ships is back on the water, as it continues to advance its ambitious growth plan.
Thus, and for the first time in the history of MSC Cruises, this summer there will be 17 ships deployed in the Mediterranean, the largest number of cruise ships the company has ever had in the region.
