The Carnival Pride , operated by Carnival Cruise Line, has made its maiden call at the Port of Valencia. Andrés Morro, Head of Commercial and Business Development at the Port Authority of Valencia (APV), presented the traditional socarrat—the Valencian terracotta tile with maritime motifs that Valenciaport awards to ships docking for the first time—to the cruise ship's captain, Rino Costanzo.
The Carnival Pride is a Spirit-class ship with a length of 293 meters and a beam of 32 meters, featuring 10 decks. The ship has a capacity for 2,124 passengers and up to 930 crew members. It is the only stop in Valencia scheduled for both the ship and the Carnival company in 2022. For 2023, Carnival has scheduled five stops: three with the same ship, the Carnival Pride, and two with the Carnival Freedom.
This cruise ship arrived in Valencia on Saturday, along with the Wonder of the Seas, which made its second stop in the city. In addition, the Aidastella, Marella Discovery 2, Le Bellot, and MSC Seaside cruise ships arrived in Valencia on Friday.
