Royal Caribbean International's newest cruise ship, the Wonder of the Seas, has arrived in Barcelona to kick off a summer of unforgettable European vacations. The fifth ship in the Oasis Class will offer seven-night Mediterranean cruises departing from Barcelona and Rome, starting Sunday, May 8.
With a combination of new and classic attractions, the Wonder is the ideal place for travelers of all ages to create great experiences and memories while sailing and exploring the most desired destinations such as Florence, Naples, Capri, Provence and Malaga.
The ship offers a wide range of attractions across its eight neighborhoods, filled with exciting experiences, entertainment, restaurants, bars, and lounges to enjoy day and night, such as:
- Suite Neighborhood – A neighborhood that offers Royal Suite Class guests the Suite Sun Deck, an area with a pool, bar and spaces with sun loungers and relaxation areas, the private Coastal Kitchen restaurant, the Suite Lounge, and the Ultimate Family Suite.
- The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar – Where Southern American cuisine meets Royal Caribbean hospitality and creativity. It also features live country music, Southern-style décor, and a selection of whiskeys and cocktails.
- Wonder Playscape – Numerous outdoor attractions designed for family fun, including slides, a climbing wall, and an interactive touch mural.
- Fan favorites – Exclusive experiences, including the FlowRider surf simulator, The Ultimate Abyss, the tallest waterslide at sea; the 10-story zipline; and new areas dedicated to kids, like Adventure Ocean, and teens, like Social100 and The Patio. Plus, stunning neighborhoods like Central Park, with over 20,000 natural plants, and the Boardwalk, which combines the charm of the sea with activities for the whole family – from riding the hand-carved carousel to catching a game and enjoying the arcade at Playmakers Sports Bar & Arcade.
Wonder also boasts a diverse entertainment offering across four "stages": air, ice, water, and theater. More than 100 artists and technicians, along with cutting-edge technology, come together to bring large-scale productions to life.
The Wonder of the Seas will continue sailing the Western Mediterranean through October, completing a summer in Europe with eight ships, including the Odyssey of the Seas, which is also marking its first European season. In November, the Wonder of the Seas will return to the United States to sail year-round from Port Canaveral, Florida, exploring the Caribbean and the Bahamas, as well as the cruise line's private island, Perfect Day at CocoCay.
