MSC Cruises has opened sales for its world cruise, MSC World Cruise 2024, departing from Barcelona on January 7, 2024, with a stunning new itinerary aboard MSC Poesia that includes 52 destinations in 31 different countries. The voyage will depart from Barcelona on January 7, 2024, and sail for 119 days – almost four months – on a round-the-world itinerary.
The cruise will begin with some of the most outstanding destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, including stops in Italy, Malta, Cyprus, an overnight stay in Haifa (Israel), and a day trip to Cairo via Port Said/Alexandria (Egypt). Passengers will then transition through the world-famous Suez Canal to the breathtaking Red Sea, where the sights of the ancient world await them in Luxor and Petra.
After spending the night in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), the ship will head south to the crystal-clear waters of the African gems of Zanzibar, the Seychelles and Mauritius before heading to mainland Africa for a tour of South Africa: Durban, Port Elizabeth and an evening to discover why Cape Town is famous, including the breathtaking Table Mountain.
Next, the ship will cross the Atlantic Ocean to South America for an exploration of the Brazilian Amazon. In Brazil, passengers will also enjoy stops in Salvador and Belém, as well as an overnight stay in Rio de Janeiro.
Next, passengers will enjoy the Caribbean's most glittering pearls: St. Lucia, Barbados, Martinique, the Dominican Republic and The Bahamas, including MSC Cruises' private island, Ocean Cay Marine Reserve, on their route to North America.
Continuing their journey, passengers will visit Miami, Florida, for two nights, as well as New York City, before heading north to Nova Scotia and Quebec in Canada. On the way home, they will encounter stunning destinations in some of Northern Europe's finest cities, as well as Greenland and Iceland.
Each booking includes 15 excursions and a Dine & Drink package, as well as a 30% discount on laundry service. Additional excursions and packages can be booked both in advance and during the cruise.
