With the recent announcement of the safe resumption of cruising in Canadian ports, Princess Cruises has finalized its cruise schedule and guest experiences for the 2022 summer season of Alaska cruises, as well as its popular summer and fall program in Canada and New England.
The 2022 program features six ships, including the line's newest, the Discovery Princess. The offering includes 12 unique itineraries, with a total of 140 sailings and five glacier viewing experiences, visiting the Southeast Alaskan cities of Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchikan.
Princess cruises sail from Vancouver to Whittier and back on its popular seven-night "Journey to the Glaciers" cruises. New this year, Royal Princess sailings will feature onboard assistance and optional excursions in Spanish, thanks to Mundomar Cruceros, Princess's exclusive representative in Spain and Portugal.
From Whittier, Princess offers more than 20 shore extension options, visiting Denali National Park with accommodations at the fabulous Princess Wilderness Lodges. The Majestic Princess debuts alongside the Royal Princess and Grand Princess on this seven-night itinerary, which offers two glacier-viewing experiences on each cruise, including Glacier Bay National Park.
Seattle and San Francisco are also embarkation ports for Alaska, with an additional stop in Victoria, Canada. The 143,700-ton Discovery Princess, with a capacity for 3,660 passengers, marks its inaugural season as the newest Alaska ship sailing from Seattle, alongside the Crown Princess.
From San Francisco, the Ruby Princess offers 10-night cruises. The August 18th cruise from San Francisco features a package with Spanish-speaking assistance that includes flights from Spain and Portugal, accommodations in San Francisco, and guided tours, always accompanied by a Mundomar Cruises assistant guide to complete the travel experience.
“The reopening of Canadian ports to the cruise industry expands the range of travel opportunities available to guests, while also boosting the economies of the Canadian and Alaskan destinations we visit,” said John Padgett, president of Princess Cruises.
The first Princess cruise ship to visit Canada is the Caribbean Princess, sailing on a four-day Pacific coast voyage, with a scheduled stop in the port of Victoria on April 6, followed by Vancouver on April 7.
On voyages to Canada and New England, Princess sails from Quebec and New York, visiting popular Canadian ports including Halifax, Saint John, Sydney, and Charlottetown. The 2022 season runs from July to October and features 16 sailings and six unique itineraries on the Enchanted Princess and the Caribbean Princess.
The Caribbean Princess's August 5th departure, embarking in Quebec and disembarking in New York, can also be booked with flights, hotels, tours, and a Spanish-speaking tour guide throughout the trip. It is another cruise included in Mundomar Cruises' complete travel packages.
