Carnival Cruise Line is making health screenings simpler and faster for passengers. Following the success of the pilot program for VeriFLY™ by Daon, a free and secure digital health app that allows vaccinated guests to easily submit pre-boarding information, Carnival has rolled out the app across its entire fleet of ships in every U.S. port.
Guests using the VeriFLY app cut the time it takes to complete the health assessment process during boarding in half.
“VeriFLY helps our guests easily and securely complete pre-boarding forms directly from their smartphones. Guests can save time at the port and board faster by completing the process through VeriFLY,” said Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy.
Using the app has been an easy option for guests from the start. In the first pilot program test in January, ahead of a Mardi Gras cruise from Port Canaveral, more than 85% of the 2,000 guests followed the process by downloading the VeriFLY app.
“We are very pleased with the success of the VeriFLY app used in the pilot phase with Carnival Cruise Line and are now thrilled to see the full rollout of VeriFLY across the entire fleet for all ships in all their U.S. home ports,” said Daon CEO Tom Grissen.
Available on the App Store or Google Play, once guests download VeriFLY, they can search for Carnival Cruise Line and complete the required steps. Guests will be asked to provide the required documentation, including vaccination status and COVID-19 test results. Upon successful completion of the process, a VeriFLY pass will be issued in the app to present at embarkation.
