First Dates Cruise begins with new features, including new locations on the ship that will allow singles to have their dates in a variety of settings related to leisure and relaxation; and with a new captain: Jesús Vázquez. Next Monday, February 21, starting at 10:45 p.m., First Dates Cruise begins its second voyage aboard the MSC Grandiosa, where more than one hundred singles will embark hoping to find love, and where some established couples will try to give their relationship a boost or rekindle the spark in the idyllic setting of a cruise ship.
In this second season of the program, Jesús Vázquez will take over from Carlos Sobera and become the host of the daters, along with the staff made up of Lidia Torrent, Matías Roure and the twins Marisa and Cristina Zapata and the crew of the MSC Grandiosa cruise ship, where the recordings of the program take place.
“It’s been one of the most fun experiences of my career,” says Jesús Vázquez. “Traveling aboard a spectacular cruise ship that transforms into a kind of giant set sailing the Mediterranean really makes a show like 'First Dates' take off and grow.”
Furthermore, he highlighted “the technical challenge of filming a program like 'First Dates Cruise' while the ship is operating at full capacity.” As with the first season of the show, the production team has had to adapt to the ship's safety protocols, and for this, they have relied on the help and advice of MSC Cruises engineers.
The program will include new locations such as karaoke, the chill-out area of L'Átelier Bistrot, the skating rink, the ballroom and the reserved suite cabin, which will serve as the setting for dates after the first dinner of the daters in the restaurant and will be added to other already known spaces that invite relaxation, such as the outdoor jacuzzi and those found inside some cabins; recreation, such as the sports court, the pools, the games area or the terraces and cocktail areas; and body care, such as the spa and the treatments of the private area.
Alongside the main objective of helping all the daters participating in the program find a partner, 'First Dates Cruise' will dedicate a special episode to couples who embark on the cruise not to look for love, but to dream again, rekindle passion, celebrate their relationship, enjoy the trip they never could together, or attempt a reconciliation.
