The Celebrity Beyond successfully completed its sea trials and returned to the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. In less than 80 days, it will make its highly anticipated debut on April 27, 2022, when it sets sail from Southampton, England.
Celebrity Cruises' latest Edge series ship completed its sea trials during the first week of February in the Bay of Biscay, near the shipyard. Overseen by more than 50 crew members, engineers, and marine experts, the ship demonstrated that its strength, excellence, and superb sailing capabilities extend far beyond its impressive amenities. It showcased a superior level of comfort, safety, maneuverability, and fuel efficiency, the latter due in part to the ship's revolutionary Parabolic Ultracoil design.

The Celebrity Beyond will not only hold the title of the largest ship in the Celebrity Cruises fleet, but also the distinction of being the brand's most luxurious vessel. It boasts 17 decks and is 21 meters longer than its innovative predecessors, the Celebrity Edge (2018) and Celebrity Apex (2020). Furthermore, the Celebrity Beyond's design has been meticulously crafted, featuring spaces that include:
The Retreat®, an exclusive area for suite guests, features a two-story sundeck;
an expanded rooftop garden and deck with cantilevered floating pools;
a multi-level Sunset Bar and terraces at the stern of the ship, designed by American designer Nate Berkus;
Daniel Boulud's first fine-dining restaurant at sea, called Le Voyage;
the Grand Plaza, spanning three decks and flanked by the new World Class Bar and Le Voyage;
and the Magic Carpet®, an engineering marvel that rises above the sea, offering guests incredible views while sipping cocktails or dining.
The Celebrity Beyond will depart on its maiden voyage on April 27, 2022 from Southampton, England, on a 10-night cruise through Western Europe visiting Bordeaux, France; Lisbon, Portugal; and Seville, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona, Spain.
Next, it will offer a variety of Mediterranean trips, including nine-night itineraries around the Italian Riviera and France, and 10-night trips around the Greek islands until early October, when it heads to the Caribbean.
