Celebrity Cruises has decided to cancel the Celebrity Infinity's European summer season and reposition it to the Caribbean. This decision means the cancellation of all Mediterranean cruises scheduled between April 15 and November 28, 2022. Instead, the ship will sail in the Caribbean, according to a letter sent by the cruise line to its customers.
For much of the Mediterranean season, the ship would have been based in the Italian port of Ravenna, so the ports most affected by this cancellation would be those in Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece. However, the Celebrity Infinity also had several cruises scheduled in the Iberian Peninsula and the Canary Islands in October and November, so Spanish ports will also be affected.
The company is offering refund or credit options for a future cruise to affected cruisers, as well as changes to other cruises on the Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Constellation or Celebrity Reflection.
