Last Thursday, August 12, the christening ceremony of the TUI Maya, TUI River's first river cruise ship, took place in Mainz, Germany.
The new brand, aimed exclusively at adults, will have two more ships, TUI Skyla and TUI Isla, which will begin operating at the end of this year and the beginning of next year respectively.
The boats were acquired from Werner Tours ya Reiseburo Mittelhurgau Fluss and several million euros have been invested in completely refurbishing them to include two restaurants, two bars and deck areas designed for relaxation, wellness, or doing activities.
On August 15, the first route with clients departed in the Moselle Valley, visiting Frankfurt, Koblenz and other small towns such as Trier, Piesport and Oberwese.
