The Public Agency of Ports of Andalusia (APPA) has signed an agreement to join Suncruise Andalusia as a partner, with the aim of collaborating in the promotion of Andalusia as a destination for sailing, recreational boating and cruise tourism.

The Andalusian Ports of General Interest are already working on offering marinas, and docks for yachts and mega-yachts, within the development of Port-City integration, which implies the extension of the ports open to cities for the commercial, cultural, and gastronomic use and enjoyment of citizens, and ultimately to contribute to the development of Andalusian maritime tourism.
In the words of the Minister of Development, Infrastructure and Territorial Planning of the Andalusian Regional Government, Marifrán Carazo Villalonga, this agreement is “an opportunity to join forces in the objectives of cooperation in activities that have a port impact, which ultimately contribute to jointly promoting all Andalusian ports as a cruise tourism destination.”.
José García Fuentes, president of Suncruise Andalucía, wanted to "welcome, on behalf of the seven ports of general interest that make up Suncruise, the ports that depend on the Public Agency, in order to join forces and promote Andalusia as a leading cruise and nautical destination for southern Europe.".
Among the objectives of the document signed by both entities, the intention to jointly represent the cruise traffic and industry in all the Ports of the Andalusian Coast stands out, as well as to carry out joint promotional actions, with participation in the various sector events, congresses and fairs.
On the other hand, Suncruise and APPA will work on improving the quality of services offered to tourism by sea and river, promoting cruise routes that connect the different Andalusian ports, organizing direct or reverse trade missions, and launching joint and coordinated market research.
Similarly, port guides and other promotional materials for all Andalusian ports will be published, and joint events of interest will be organized.
Thanks to this agreement, Suncruise, together with APPA, expands its reach. Both entities will benefit from various professional activities, trade fairs, events, and conferences, all under the Andalusia brand, with the aim of promoting its coasts and ports, as well as its offerings as a cultural, gastronomic, heritage, sporting, and nature destination.
