Azamara Cruises announces that the Azamara Quest will be the first ship in the fleet to return to service, beginning August 28, 2021, with five 7-day Mediterranean cruises visiting Santorini, Rhodes, and Heraklion. All voyages aboard the Azamara Journey and Azamara Pursuit will be suspended until September 2021, and Azamara Quest sailings will also be canceled until October 2, 2021

“Throughout the past year, our team has remained in contact with our customers and travel agencies, who have shared their desire to get back to sailing, and we are delighted to announce that we can finally make this dream a reality,” said Azamara President Carol Cabezas. “There is no better way to return to service than in a country that Azamara knows very well, Greece. Our return to sailing would not be possible without the support of Minister Harry Theoharis, the local government, and the port authorities, and we are very grateful for the warm welcome back to this beautiful and culturally rich destination.”
“We look forward to welcoming Azamara and her guests to Greece in August,” added Minister Harry Theoharis. “We fully support the line’s return to cruising in the Aegean waters and are confident that all her passengers will have unique experiences in our beautiful destinations.”.
Voyages will open for booking on May 11, 2021. With the health and safety of passengers and crew as the top priority for the return, Azamara will require all passengers and crew to be fully vaccinated 14 days prior to departure. Once bookings open, the cruise line will release its protocol guidelines to ensure a safe return to service for guests.
