Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services is expanding its collaboration with VIKAND Solutions, a global provider of maritime medical operations and healthcare solutions. The Global Port Medical Network partnership between the two companies, first announced in November 2020, will now see them working together to implement efficient COVID-19 testing at cruise terminals.
The COVID-19 testing solution for cruise terminals is a non-invasive testing system for passengers, crew, and terminal staff, capable of detecting the virus in 45 seconds. Comprising individual breathalyzer tubes and portable scanning stations, it is now available to support the resumption of cruises globally and the maritime industry as a whole. With a local presence in ports worldwide, Intercruises will assist by providing the necessary management and logistical support at the terminals.
