Oceania Cruises, the cruise line focused on gastronomy and destinations, has announced that the launch, on March 3, of its latest collection of exotic itineraries for winter 2022-2023, resulted in a historic record with the highest number of bookings made in a single day in the company's 18-year history.

On March 3, 2021, Oceania Cruises released its "Tropics & Exotics 2022-2023" itinerary collection. This collection includes 127 cruises ranging from 7 to 77 days in length, featuring destinations in Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, the Caribbean, South America, and the South Pacific. Asia, Africa, and South America were the top-selling destinations. The Caribbean and Australia/New Zealand were also in high demand, with the 35-day circumnavigation of Australia during the Christmas and New Year holidays being the most popular voyage.
“The large number of bookings we saw on the day we launched our new 2022 and 2023 itineraries underscores the extraordinary demand for extended cruises. Seasoned travelers are eager to travel again and are booking further in advance to ensure their travel dreams come true,” said Bob Binder, president and CEO of Oceania Cruises.
This latest booking record comes just weeks after the line sold out its epic six-month 2023 World Cruise on the first day it went on sale to the general public. Travelers continue to show strong interest in long, exotic cruises with "grand voyages" lasting several weeks to more than two months, which accounted for almost a third of bookings made on March 3.
The airline has also seen exceptionally strong demand for its 2022 collection of trips to Europe and North America. To meet the demand from consumers and travel agents booking further in advance, the airline will open sales for its spring, summer, and fall 2023 trips to Europe and North America starting in September.
