Hurtigruten presents a series of itineraries for couples to enjoy a romantic experience with the Midnight Sun and the Northern Lights along the Norwegian coast.
With regular departures throughout the year, Hurtigruten, which travels the Norwegian coast from north to south of the country, invites its guests to discover the original coastal route Bergen - Kirkenes - Bergen with stops in 34 ports and sailing through more than 100 fjords and 1000 mountains, for 12 days, or to do one of the sections, either Northbound for 7 days (Bergen - Kirkenes) or Southbound for 6 days (Kirkenes - Bergen), or the Bergen - Kirkenes - Trondheim route.
The couple can enjoy this unforgettable experience 365 days a year, in different seasons, where the only protagonists will be them and nature, crossing the Arctic Circle, with the opportunity to witness the Northern Lights in winter or the 24 hours of daylight under the Midnight Sun in summer. Couples can complete their romantic adventure with a wide variety of optional excursions led by Hurtigruten guides on board: set foot on the North Cape, the northernmost point of mainland Europe, and enjoy a romantic breakfast; join an excursion through the frozen landscapes of the north on a husky sled, or a speedboat safari to the Russian border or on snowmobiles; experience Viking or Sami culture firsthand; combine sport and nature with activities such as hiking along the Arctic coast, kayaking, cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, or horseback riding for two; and discover some of the most beautiful fjords in the world, such as Trollfjord or Hjørundfjord.
