Virgin Voyages is moving the Scarlet Lady's departure to May 9th and the Valiant Lady's to November 14th, which means the Valiant Lady will miss its Mediterranean season departing from Barcelona and will instead join the Scarlet Lady in the Caribbean next fall, sailing from its new Miami terminal.
The Valiant Lady will return to Europe for its Mediterranean season in 2022.
In a company statement, Sir Richard Branson said: “Thank you for sticking with us. We promise it will be worth the wait.”
Although these are delays, Virgin Voyages said it is very encouraged by the positive developments surrounding vaccines in the US and other countries, while acknowledging the significant challenges currently facing the fight against the spread of the virus.
Virgin Voyages expects to see a significant increase in travel spending once 2021 begins, as people look to make plans and finally resume their holidays.
The brand promised to share information soon, in early 2021, about the third ship to be added to the fleet.
