Royal Caribbean Group is extending its “Cruise with Confidence” program, which allows guests to cancel their cruise up to 48 hours before departure for all bookings made before January 31, 2021, and receive a full credit of their cruise fare toward a future cruise through April 2022, and through May 4, 2022 for Celebrity Cruises. The cruise line will also continue to offer its “Best Price Guarantee” and “Lift and Shift” programs.
“Best price guaranteed”: Customers can choose to modify the price and promotional offer of their booking up to 48 hours before the cruise.
“Lift and Shift”: This option is ideal for guests who wish to change their vacation plans for next year. Applicable now through January 31, 2021, guests can protect their original cruise fare and promotional offer by switching to a future cruise with the same itinerary type, trip length, stateroom category, and within the same 4-week period of their original cruise date, the following year. 2021 cruise bookings can be changed to dates through April 30, 2022 (May 4, 2022 for Celebrity).
In addition to easing the concerns of customers with booked cruises, the policy improves consumer confidence in scheduling new bookings, knowing that last-minute travel adjustments are allowed.
“We want our customers to feel that they can safely keep their existing cruise bookings or schedule new sailings, because this policy gives them more freedom and flexibility,” says Royal Caribbean Group President and CEO Richard Fain.
The program applies to all cruises with departure dates prior to April 2022 and across all of the company's global brands: Royal Caribbean International and Azamara. For Celebrity Cruises, the extension applies to cruises departing before May 4, 2020.
