MedCruise, the Association representing cruise ports in the Mediterranean and its adjacent seas, has announced the appointment of Ms. Aimilia Papachristou as its new Secretary General.
The new Secretary General of MedCruise, Aimilia Papachristou, was Senior Project Director at MedCruise from 2013 to 2018. Previously, she served as an advisor to the Secretary General for Ports and Port Policy at the Ministry of Development, Competitiveness, and Maritime Transport of the Hellenic Republic. A founding member of PortEconomics.eu, she is currently completing a doctoral dissertation examining the management of cruise ports. She holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in Maritime Transport, Trade, and Transportation from the University of the Aegean and is a maritime economist with significant experience in port economics, management, and policy. With this appointment, Aimilia leaves her position as a business consultant at the Greek railway company, TRAINOSE SA.
Aimilia Papachristou replaces Mr. Jordi Caballé, who has held the position of Secretary General of MedCruise since February 2018.
