Celestyal Cruises includes free travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage included in new bookings made until November 30th, for cruises departing in the first half of 2021

Celestyal Cruises, the leading Greek cruise operator specializing in Greek island and Eastern Mediterranean cruises, has announced that it will include complimentary travel insurance with all new individual bookings made between today and November 30, 2020, for voyages departing between March and June 2021. This provides guests with greater peace of mind as they return to cruising. The included policy, provided by Allianz Global Assistance, covers medical/hospital expenses, including those related to COVID-19, transportation to the nearest hospital, travel to the next port of call if necessary, travel expenses to return home due to illness, and reimbursement for the unused portion of a cruise. For an additional fee, guests can choose to extend their policy to include trip cancellation coverage.

Celestyal's first sailing of the 2021 season will be on March 6th, aboard its new flagship, the Celestyal Experience, on the seven-night "Three Continents" itinerary, calling at Greece (Athens and Rhodes), Turkey (Kusadasi), Israel (Ashdod), Egypt (Port Said), and Cyprus (Limassol). From April 3rd, 2021, the Celestyal Experience will embark on the seven-night "Idyllic Aegean" itinerary, visiting Athens, Rhodes, Crete (Agios Nikolaos), Santorini, Milos, Mykonos, and Kusadasi (Ephesus). For a limited time, it is offering a special all-inclusive launch price, as well as a reduced deposit for booking.

Celestyal Cruises has added additional sailings to its special seven-night itinerary, "In the Footsteps of St. Paul," due to increased demand. This itinerary follows the journey of St. Paul the Apostle across the Mediterranean, with departures on October 16 and November 13, 2021. Additionally, the company has introduced a revised seven-night "Eclectic Aegean" itinerary to maximize time ashore and offer Thessaloniki as a new embarkation/disembarkation port. Thessaloniki is Greece's second-largest city and the gateway to the land of Alexander the Great, boasting a rich cultural and culinary heritage and vibrant nightlife. The seven-night "Eclectic Aegean" itinerary departs between October 23 and November 6, 2021.

“We are very optimistic about the future of cruising and are excited to introduce our newest addition to the fleet, the Celestyal Experience. We understand that concerns surrounding the pandemic still exist, and we want to help our guests feel confident booking their voyages with us for the first half of next year. We are proud to be industry pioneers in offering travel insurance with complimentary COVID coverage, along with a very attractive all-inclusive introductory price, to help restore their confidence in booking that dream vacation they likely had to postpone last year due to the pandemic,” said Leslie Peden, Chief Commercial Officer of Celestyal Cruises.

The Celestyal Experience can accommodate up to 1,800 passengers in 789 cabins, 166 of which feature balconies, terraces with sea views, and verandas overlooking the bridge. Recently refurbished, the Celestyal Experience will offer guests an intimate experience with all the warmth of traditional Greek hospitality. The ship is also well-suited to visiting smaller ports, a key differentiator for the Celestyal, with destinations that remain inaccessible to larger vessels.

The Celestyal Experience offers a variety of services for guests of all ages, including four specialty restaurants, seven bars and lounges, two swimming pools, two jacuzzis, a beach club, a solarium, a jogging track, and the modern, panoramic, two-deck Sana Wellness Spa. To complete the experience, the Celestyal Experience offers its passengers nightly entertainment, a casino, a library, meeting rooms, and onboard boutiques, all crowned by a unique and special wine and cheese bar that pays tribute to Mediterranean wines and cheeses.
