Carnival Cruise Line has notified customers and travel agents of the cancellation of the remaining cruises for its six ships operating from the Port of Miami and Port Canaveral for November 2020. It has also canceled five cruises scheduled to operate from Sydney, Australia from January 16 to February 8, 2021.
Following the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) decision to extend its no-sail order for cruise operations until October 31, Carnival canceled all cruises except those from the Port of Miami and Port Canaveral for the remainder of the year. It has now determined that November 2020 operations will not be feasible.
Carnival continues to work on protocols and procedures to allow the resumption of cruise operations, with a gradual, phased approach, designating Miami and Port Canaveral as the first two embarkation ports. Cruises currently scheduled for December from these two homeports are still on for the time being, while Carnival evaluates its options. Guests who booked December cruises from Miami and Port Canaveral still have the option to voluntarily cancel their reservation and receive the same offer as other affected guests, which includes a combination of Future Cruise Credit (FCC) and Onboard Credit (OBC), or a full refund.
In Australia, Carnival is notifying customers and travel agents that five cruises on the Carnival Splendor departing between January 16 and February 8, 2021, have been canceled. Those customers will receive the same FCC/OBC combination offer or a full refund.
