SunStone Ships announced the successful steel cutting of its fifth new-generation Infinity-class vessel, which, aiming to combine European design and quality with Chinese shipbuilding efficiency, offers cutting-edge design, innovations such as X-bow technology, and significant operational efficiency.

The steel-cutting ceremony for the Ocean Odyssey took place in Haimen, China. The ship will operate expedition cruises around the world year-round for Vantage Travel.
The Infinity-class ships are 104 meters long and 18 meters wide, with a draft of 5.1 meters. They have a passenger capacity of 130-200 and a crew capacity of 85-115. The ships are small enough to offer an exclusive atmosphere, yet large enough to provide all the expected amenities and facilities, such as a swimming pool, bar and restaurants, lounges, boutique, gym, and spa.
The Infinity class ships currently under construction are the Ocean Victory, Ocean Explorer and Sylvia Earle, due for delivery in 2021; the Ocean Odyssey and Ocean Albatross, due for delivery in 2022; and the Ocean Discoverer, due for delivery in 2023.
