Seabourn celebrated the commemorative steel cutting for its second purpose-built, ultra-luxury expedition ship. T. Mariotti CEO Marco Ghiglione presided over the ceremony in San Giorgio di Nogare, Italy, which was joined virtually by Seabourn President Josh Leibowitz.

This second ship is scheduled for 2022, and its sister ship, the Seabourn Venture, is slated for 2021 with an exciting inaugural season of voyages to Norway, where passengers will have the opportunity to witness the Northern Lights up close. The ships are being designed from the ground up for expedition voyages, coupled with ultra-luxurious and personalized service from leading travel experts and professionals with extensive experience in expeditions, hospitality, and luxury cruising.

Both Seabourn Venture-class ships will be designed and built to the standards of the Polar PC6 Class and will feature a suite of modern hardware and technology. With a new and innovative design, created specifically for the ultra-luxury expedition traveler, they will also include the features that have made Seabourn ships so successful. A new and exciting offering will be two custom-built submarines brought on board, providing an unforgettable view of the world beneath the ocean's surface. Both ships will have 24 Zodiacs on board, allowing all passengers to go on Zodiac tours simultaneously. Each ship will feature 132 luxurious veranda suites, providing superb accommodations regardless of the itinerary. Renowned designer Adam D. Tihany has developed the design for the public areas and the luxurious passenger suites.
Both vessels will have an onboard crew comprised of experienced expedition teams, including renowned experts in natural environments, scientists, historians, and naturalists. During each voyage, team members interact with passengers, providing an enriching travel experience and offering in-depth insights into the history, ecology, and culture of the places they visit.
