Silversea, the leading ultra-luxury cruise line, is extending its “Cruise with Confidence” program to all voyages departing before April 30, 2021. Launched in early March, the program allows guests to cancel their cruise for any reason up to 48 hours before departure and receive a 100% Future Cruise Credit for the amount paid, valid for two years from the date of issue.
As a demonstration of support for travel agents, if the customer chooses the Future Cruise Credit and has paid it in full, their travel advisor's commission is protected for both the cancelled booking and the future booking to which the Future Cruise Credit applies.
Recent booking trends indicate that travelers are increasingly confident in summer 2021 and winter 2021/2022 departures. Silversea's extension of its "Cruise with Confidence" initiative for departures until April 30, 2021, will provide further reassurance to travelers wishing to take their trip in early 2021.
Members of Silversea's loyalty program, "Venetian Society," are showing the greatest propensity to book, demonstrating strong confidence in the cruise line's return to service when the time is right.
For 2021, "closer to home" cruises are proving popular, with American customers requesting Alaskan itineraries, while the Mediterranean and Northern Europe are proving more popular with our European and British customers. Australians, in turn, are opting for cruises around Australia and New Zealand. More distant destinations, including the Galapagos and Antarctica, are also expected to recover.

As an added incentive for travel agents, Silversea is expanding its Double Bonus offer. The offer includes a reduced deposit requirement per suite for any new booking made before August 31, 2020, and guests who redeem this offer will also receive an onboard spending credit. The Double Bonus offer applies to all Silversea voyages with the exception of full world cruises and grand voyages. Guests holding a Future Cruise Credit can also use their credit to take advantage of the offer.
