The “Sea Cloud Spirit”, the second largest sailing cruise ship in the world, being built in Vigo (Spain) at the Metalships & Docks shipyard, is currently in the final phase of construction and is scheduled for delivery to the German company in 2020. The ship has completed the hull protection and painting phase, after which work will continue on assembling the masts for the deployment of its sails.
The three-masted sailing ship is 136 meters long and 17.2 meters wide. Equipped with 69 outside cabins, 25 of which have private balconies, it will accommodate 136 passengers and 85 crew members. The Sea Cloud Spirit will offer an elegant and welcoming atmosphere throughout its various spaces, as well as first-class cuisine with classic, modern, and nautical touches, featuring regional products. It will also include a spa and gym.
The new Sea Cloud Spirit will explore new horizons, providing great comfort to its passengers with its cabins with balconies, a generous wellness and spa area, a fitness area with sea views and ample open spaces on deck.
The SeaCloud Spirit also represents environmentally friendly tourism at the highest level. In addition to a sail area of 4,100 m2, it is equipped with two economical diesel-electric engines that will maintain its course even in calm weather.
