Saga Cruises' new ship, Spirit of Adventure, will make its maiden voyage on November 5, departing from Southampton for the Mediterranean and returning to the UK.
Saga Cruises made the decision to pause all its cruise operations in mid-March as a result of the global Covid-19 pandemic. At that time, it was announced that all cruises aboard the Spirit of Discovery, a ship launched last year with a capacity of 999 passengers, had been postponed until at least September 1.
Nigel Blanks, Managing Director of Saga Cruises, commented: “We are delighted to announce the maiden voyage date of the Spirit of Adventure, our new luxury cruise ship. On this voyage, the Spirit of Adventure will depart from Southampton on November 5th to sail the Mediterranean before returning to the UK.”.

We have been working in collaboration with the industry and government to establish appropriate, state-of-the-art health protocols, prioritizing guest safety to ensure a safe return to service this fall.”.
