The Monarch has left Naples, where it was stripped of all valuable machinery, and will be followed by the Sovereign, which is still unloading supplies in the Italian city. The final destination for both ships is the scrapyard at the Aliaga naval dismantling facility in Turkey.
The Horizon, for its part, will arrive in Athens in the coming days to unload all the valuable material and will also head to Aliaga, where it will be dismantled.
Sources at Pullmantur say that despite losing their current ships, which are owned by Royal Caribbean, they will continue to seek viability for the company. This viability could come from operating other ships that the Royal Caribbean group might make available, or from exploring other business opportunities.
