Guests traveling aboard Silver Cloud and Silver Whisper enjoyed a rare moment in the company's history when the two ships met in Antarctica's Wilhelmina Bay on February 4th of this year.
The voyage was an epic moment in more ways than one, as the Silver Whisper became the first ship to visit Antarctica on a round-the-world cruise. Silversea’s ultra-luxury ship embarked on the “Legends of Cruising 2020” voyage on January 6, and guests spent a total of four days exploring the Antarctic Peninsula between February 4 and 7. During the four-day Antarctic experience, travelers enjoyed a host of immersive expedition activities, including Zodiac tours and expertly led shore excursions, as well as enriching onboard lectures and workshops delivered by the company’s expedition team.
