Global Ports Holding (GPH), the world's largest cruise port operator, has announced that its joint venture, Creuers del Port Barcelona SA, has acquired the remaining shares of the Málaga Cruise Port concession for €1.5 million. The transaction was signed by GPH's CEO and Creuers' Chairman, Emre Sayin, and his counterpart from the Málaga Port Authority, Carlos Rubio, in the presence of the Chairman of State Ports, Salvador de la Encina.
GPH owns 62% of Creuers, with the remainder belonging to Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Creuers already held 80% of the shares of Málaga Cruise Port, and has now acquired the remaining 20%. This transaction aligns with GPH's strategy of purchasing shares at a fair price when the opportunity arises.

Malaga Cruise Port manages the three cruise terminals at the Port of Malaga. The cruise port is strategically located in southern Europe with routes to the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, making it the gateway to Andalusia.
The port is 15 minutes from Malaga International Airport, which offers flights to Europe and the rest of the world. Malaga Cruise Port offers a wide range of services across its three terminals and operates cruise ship berths totaling 1,350 meters, enabling Malaga to accommodate ships of all sizes from around the globe.
Malaga Cruise Port will host the Seatrade Med congress and trade fair later this year.
