There are only 100 days left until the launch of MSC Cruises' first Meraviglia-Plus class ship: MSC Grandiosa, which will be inaugurated in Hamburg (Germany) on November 9, with TV star Michelle Hunziker as the event's godmother.
MSC Cruises has developed the Meraviglia generation of ships to meet all the needs of today's cruise passengers. MSC Grandiosa will thus become the new flagship of MSC Cruises and the largest ship in the fleet, offering the richest variety of facilities and services to date.

- A SHIP THAT RESPECTS THE ENVIRONMENT
In line with MSC Cruises' environmental policy, based on a deep commitment to ecological principles, MSC Grandiosa pushes the boundaries of sustainable cruise performance by incorporating some of the latest environmental systems and most innovative marine technologies.
The ship operates with significantly greater energy efficiency and is equipped with state-of-the-art recycling facilities and waste management systems, as well as the latest technology to minimize the impact of the ship's emissions.
- MSC FOR ME AND ZOE
After debuting on MSC Bellissima earlier this year, ZOE, developed in collaboration with HARMAN and Samsung Electronics, is MSC Cruises' market-leading artificial intelligence (AI), which will be found in every cabin on MSC Grandiosa as part of the MSC for Me digital ecosystem. Available in seven languages, ZOE is programmed to answer hundreds of questions about the cruise and provide information about onboard facilities, assist with booking services, and offer guidance and suggestions.
In addition to ZOE, passengers can enjoy a range of new MSC for Me features introduced in 2019, including Guest-to-Guest via the MSC for Me app, the friend and family locator service*, and onboard planning even before boarding. Passengers can also purchase prepaid packages at better prices before boarding.
- OUTSTANDING GASTRONOMIC OFFERING
Alongside the three main restaurants serving refined Mediterranean cuisine and an international buffet, guests can book four specialty restaurants*:
- ¡HOLA! Tapas Bar allows passengers to enjoy a Spanish-inspired culinary experience created by renowned 2-Michelin-starred chef Ramón Freixa. The warm, 150-square-meter restaurant, seating 56, offers a pleasant atmosphere for sharing tapas and small plates, celebrating the Mediterranean lifestyle.
- L'ATELIER BISTROT is a French bistro that celebrates the joie de vivre with a selection of savory snacks such as tartares, a selection of cheeses and charcuterie, as well as larger traditional French dishes such as boeuf bourguignon, steak tartare and duck confit.
- BUTCHER'S CUT is perfect for meat lovers. The successful modern American steakhouse concept seen on board all the latest MSC Cruises ships will also be featured on the MSC Grandiosa, giving passengers the opportunity to watch a master butcher at work in an open kitchen. With a selection of craft beers, fine American wines, and expertly crafted cocktails in a rustic, classic American setting, this specialty restaurant is a true feast for the senses.
- KAITO TEPPANYAKI AND SUSHI BAR: These restaurants offer modern Japanese cuisine, spanning the eastern and western traditions of Japanese cooking. Four teppanyaki grills showcase chefs who delight and entertain guests with spectacular tricks and acrobatics while preparing authentic and delicious dishes. Nearby, master sushi chefs prepare the freshest sushi, sashimi, and tempura with views of the bustling waterfront.
- TWO NEW CIRQUE DU SOLEIL AT SEA SHOWS
MSC Grandiosa will be the third MSC Cruises ship to feature Cirque du Soleil at Sea, with two new and distinct shows designed exclusively for MSC Cruises passengers and available only on this ship. These exclusive shows have already captivated passengers on MSC Meraviglia and MSC Bellissima, as part of the partnership with Cirque du Soleil.
