Silversea Cruises is proud to announce the addition of a new Expeditions expert to strengthen its industry-leading team. With extensive knowledge and experience accumulated over many years in the expedition industry, Bill Davis joined Silversea as Vice President of Expedition Operations and Development on June 1, 2019.
Based in Miami, Bill will oversee Silversea's expedition destination expansion operations, assist with the development of exciting new programs, and manage the company's expedition field staff. He will also oversee the Silversea Expedition Academy, which recruits and trains top industry talent so guests can travel deeper into destinations from pole to pole.
In addition to his extensive fieldwork experience, having led and participated in over 200 expeditions on more than 40 vessels since 1993, Bill holds an MPhil in Polar Studies from the Scott Polar Research Institute at the University of Cambridge. Besides the two polar regions, Bill has traveled to some of the world's most remote locations, including the South Pacific, South Atlantic, North Atlantic, the Russian Far East, Newfoundland and Labrador, Alaska, and the coasts of the UK and Norway, among others.
