Silversea Cruises announces 54 new winter 2020/2021 voyages and opens an exclusive pre-sale for members of its Venetian Society. The impressive lineup of voyages will offer more immersive experiences for the cruise line's guests, with a greater number of unique ports of call this winter season and 20 inaugural calls. Silversea's team of destination experts has curated the voyages to incorporate both iconic and original experiences, allowing guests to journey deeper into the authentic beauty of the world in ultimate luxury.
It includes the winter itineraries of Silver Muse, Silver Whisper, Silver Shadow, Silver Spirit, and Silver Moon, a sister ship to the ultra-luxurious Silver Muse, which will join the fleet in August 2020. The new collection of voyages will showcase the wonders of the Caribbean, springtime in Asia, and the best of Australia and South America on their respective circumnavigations, among other remarkable experiences. Simplifying guest travel, guests will enjoy complimentary round-trip economy flights, or upgrades to business class starting at $199 each way, and transfers on virtually all voyages in the new collection (exceptions and market-specific conditions may apply).
A combined total of 26 voyages aboard Silver Shadow, Silver Whisper, and Silver Moon will allow guests to make meaningful connections to 46 destinations in the Caribbean. In addition to many quintessential experiences, such as immersive journeys through the rainforests of St. Lucia, opportunities to explore the elegant boutiques of St. Barthélemy, and tranquil moments in the tiled courtyards of San Juan, Silversea guests will discover more intimate, less-visited ports, such as Jost Van Dyke, Bequia, and Mayreau. Guests will also have the opportunity to delve into the vibrant culture and spectacular landscapes of Cuba. For guest convenience, many Caribbean voyages will depart from and/or terminate in Fort Lauderdale. A sample itinerary of the new Caribbean voyages being offered includes:
- Fort Lauderdale to Bridgetown: The Silver Whisper will depart Fort Lauderdale on November 10, 2020, for a 10-day voyage to Bridgetown, Barbados. Guests will visit St. John, Jost Van Dyke, St. John's, Fort-de-France, Mayreau, St. George's, and Bequia before arriving in Bridgetown on November 20, 2020. A rich array of immersive shore experiences at each destination will complement Silversea's renowned onboard luxury to make this a truly unique journey.
- Tokyo to Tokyo: Completing a 15-day circumnavigation of Japan's largest island, Honshu, the Silver Museumwill depart from Tokyo on April 5, 2021. Aboard the company's flagship, guests will travel close to the authentic beauty of Asia, stopping in Shimizu; Kobe, with an overnight stop; and Hiroshima; before arriving in Yeosu, South Korea. Afterward, travelers will explore Kanazawa, Niigata, Akita, Aomori, and Hakodate, before returning to Tokyo on April 19, 2021.
- Sydney to Auckland: Between December 20, 2020, and January 5, 2021, the Silver Muse will take guests closer to the region's outstanding beauty on an incredible 16-day voyage between Sydney and Auckland. After a stop in Melbourne, guests will travel to Burnie in Tasmania before crossing to sail the New Zealand fjords of Milford Sound, Doubtful Sound, and Dusky Sound – some of the most beautiful natural destinations in the world. Next stops will be Port Chalmers (Dunedin), Akaroa, Kaikoura, Wellington, Gisborne, and Tauranga, before guests discover the vibrant city of Auckland with an overnight stop.
In its inaugural season in the region, Silver Moon will sail through Central and South America between January and April 2021, allowing guests to discover 55 destinations in 27 countries. SALT, Silversea’s pioneering new culinary concept, will enrich the guest experience aboard Silver Moon, enabling travelers to forge meaningful connections with the destinations they visit through unique culinary experiences. Aboard Silversea’s new flagship, guests will be able to complete an incredible 69-day circumnavigation of South America by combining four voyages:
- Fort Lauderdale to Fort Lauderdale (four cruises): The first segment of this unique experience will see Silversea guests travel from Fort Lauderdale to Callao, departing on January 7, 2021, with stops in Cozumel, Quintana Roo; Belize City; Roatan Island; Puerto Limón; the San Blas Islands; and transiting the famous Panama Canal. Overnight stops in Fuerte Amador (Panama City) and Guayaquil will precede a stop in Salaverry, before the Silver Moon arrives in Callao (Lima). The second voyage, a 22-day route from Callao to Buenos Aires, will allow guests to travel deep into the majestic Chilean Fjords and Ushuaia, as well as other alluring destinations, before heading to Argentina's capital. Travelers on the third cruise will explore destinations in Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil before arriving in Rio de Janeiro. Upon completing its circumnavigation, the Silver Moon will open several guest experiences in Brazil, French Guiana, Barbados, Grenada, St. Lucia, Antigua and Barbuda, the French West Indies, and Puerto Rico, before returning to Fort Lauderdale on March 17, 2021.
